Visions of Pride Art Workshop
Easton Pride invites artists to celebrate the diverse spectrum of LGBTQ+ identities through visual art. Accepted works can address personal, social, or historical visions of what Pride is. We encourage all ages and skill levels to participate. This is a family friendly event.

A special Visions of Pride Art Workshop will be held at The Easton Arts Center on Sunday, June 5, from 3-4 pm. Materials will be provided, just come with your ideas and dress for a mess! Advanced registration is required and space is limited. Works will be exhibited at the Visions of Pride exhibition at the Easton Public Library Community Room.

Drop off of artwork for non-workshop submissions: June 25 between 1:30 and 2:30pm at the Easton Public Library Community Room
Opening Receptions: June 25, 4-6pm
Artwork pick-up: July 30, 10am - 12pm

Visions of Pride Call to Participate

Easton CT Pride invites artists to celebrate the diverse spectrum of LGBTQ+ identities through visual art. Accepted works can address personal, social, or historical visions of what Pride is. What does it mean to have the freedom to be uniquely you? We encourage all ages and skill levels to participate and submit works within the theme
of Pride. Resulting artwork will be exhibited at the first annual Visions of Pride Exhibition at the Easton Public Library from June 25- July 29.
There are two ways to participate!
1. A special Visions of Pride Art Workshop will be held at The Easton Arts Center on Sunday, June 5 from 3 – 4 PM. Materials will be provided, just come with your ideas and dress for a mess! Advanced registration is required and space is limited. Works will be exhibited at the Visions of Pride exhibition at the Easton Public Library Community Room. 2. You can submit an original work of art following these guidelines.

Included media can be painting, drawing, photography, printmaking assemblage, collage, mixed media, sculpture, ceramic, or fiber art.

Work must be framed and ready to hang with a wire or hook apparatus on the back. Unframed canvas will be accepted if wired.

Your name and phone number must appear clearly on the back or bottom of your work and must be accompanied by the attached submission form.

One submission per person, and works should be no larger than 36" in any direction.

Your work must be delivered to the Library Community Room on June 25th between 1:30 and 2:30PM.

Easton CT Pride, The Easton Art Center, and the Easton Library are not responsible for lost or damaged art work. Artists are required to sign a waiver form with the Town of Easton acknowledging release of liability for lost or damaged work. If you cannot pick up your work on July 30th, please send a proxy to collect your piece, as we cannot store art. Any sales inquiries will be directed to the artists.
